Church Planting

The Latter-Rain Harvest Ministries has collaborated with the Global 12 Project for the purpose of church planting amongst unreached people groups in Africa, particularly in the nation of Côte d’Ivoire with the training of church planters for the different regions of the nation. This has been done through the G12 Institute of Church Planting. Since November 2003 to March 2004 we have trained one hundred church planters in Côte d’Ivoire who are presently planting churches all over the nation.

As the vision of this ministry is to see the body of Christ build and more people being brought to the Lord, we have collaborated with various churches in fulfilling this vision through the support of the Global 12 Project based in Louisiana through its Regional and world Zone leaders. We have collaborated with about more than twenty five denominations in planting churches in Côte d’Ivoire for the past six months between November 2003-March 2004

You can follow some of our statistics of church planting in Côte d’Ivoire since 2003-2004.

  • As a result of the work of those who were trained in November 2003, they baptised about 103 persons this gone December during the joint Christmas service in Toulepleu from the churches already planted by those trained by G-12 Institute in November 2003 in Abidjan . The combine service brought about 737 persons together. The word is being spread in that region.

  • By April, after the training session in Agboville, the 55 villages in the region of Toulepleu will have at least one church in each village. We have already trained about 42 church planters during the past two sessions of the G-12 Institute. There are village chiefs who are asking for churches to be planted in their villages. They were disappointed when the masks they have worshipped all their lives could not save them from the rebels. The masks were burnt and sacred forest burnt and destroyed. They are therefore disappointed in devilish worship, and God is using this to bring the region to Himself.

These are some of the places where the church planters trained during the six months period have planted churches and are functioning effectively.

Where you see the same name mentioned twice it means that there are more than one church.

These churches have been planted among the following people groups:

GUERE/western Krahn, YACOUBA/GIO, BETE, BAOULE, TAGOUANA , EBRIE, ABBEY, AGNI,  ATTIE, ABROM,  DIDA

The Partners in Mission International has been of great support to the process of training. They have contributed four bicycles for the church planters in four different regions to make their work easy.

Some of these church planters have to walk about twenty kilometres to go preach in a village church and walk back the same distance. You can make a difference in their lives by supporting by providing a bicycle for a church planter. We have given four bicycles to four church planters in Man, Katiola, Agboville and Toulepleu. We are still trusting God for about ninety-six more Bicycle. A bicycle will cost about 50,000Fcfa equivalent of $100 besides transport. Thanks be to God for PIMI who contributed to this change in the lives of these four planters. Our photo gallery has few photos of these activities.

We are also trusting God for the means to train about 150 church planters in Man region in October 2004, and more than 200 planters in the region of Gagnoa & Guiberoua in November 2004.

Pray with us for the support of these planters on a monthly basis.  If the Lord touch your heart you can give a support to any of these planters on a monthly or quarterly or yearly basis.

We are very grateful to Global 12 Project, which has been a strong supporter in the training of these planters during the six months period, may the Lord richly reward them.

  • Pray with us for support for theses planters who are already on the field working.

  • Pray with us for a monthly support for the trainers who are travelling all over the nation to train others for church planting.

  • Pray with us for a van for the trainers to facilitate their travel to various parts for the training.

  • Pray with us for good health for all of our staff and planters.

  • Remember all of the denominations with which we are working to build the kingdom of God .

  • Pray with us for open doors in areas that are closed to the gospel in Côte d’Ivoire .

  • Pray with us for the need for about five hundred Bibles for the Pastors ( a bible is about 3500Fcfa equivalence of $7.50).
